Plane:

The Munich airport (Flughafen München) is approx. 120 km away from the Chiemsee and is served by all major airlines.

Shuttle Bus:

Departure from Munich Airport (meeting point see below):

Friday, May 20: 11 am / 13 am (please tick on regristration form) Shuttle bus from Frauenwoerth to Munich airport will be available on Monday, May 23. The shuttle bus takes approx. 1.5 hrs. and will cost about EURO 25 for one way. Busses will reach Munich airport on Monday at about 7.50 a.m., 9.30 a.m. and 11.20 a.m., respectively.

This fee will be charged at the conference registration office (cash only).

The "Meeting point" is the TRANSFER-SERVICE-Counter in the main foyer of the airport.
After checking-out follow the S-Bahn (for the underground) to the central lobby. Behind the two S-Bahn stairwells, you will find the TRANSFER-SERVICE.

Train:

From Munich airport take the urban train (S-Bahn) to Munich East Station (MÜNCHEN-Ostbahnhof), from there the train (direction Salzburg) to Prien station (cost approx. 20 Euro). You will need about 1.5 hr. For time schedule of trains please see Deutsche Bahn AG.
Once at Prien station take the local train or bus which runs about every hour to Prien/Stock (harbour) or take taxi (approx. € 10) and proceed by ferry boat.

Car:

If you decide to travel by car, the link route planner may be of use to you. Your destination is Prien, which is easy to arrive by Autobahn A8 (München-Salzburg). Take exit Bernau. At Prien/Stock (harbour) you can leave your car on a car park (approx. 10 to 15 Euro for the 3days) - it is not possible to take the car on the island).
